MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Democratic Supreme Court candidate
Deborah Bell Paseur has conceded her race against Republican Greg
Shaw.
Paseur said Friday she decided to concede the tight race after
county canvas boards across the state had completed counting
provisional ballots.
Shaw is a criminal appeals court judge. He led Paseur by some
12,800 votes after the Nov. 4 election.
Paseur said in a statement that she congratulates Shaw on
winning the Supreme Court seat. Paseur is a former district judge
in Florence.
