PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. (AP) - Race officials say a Georgia man
died after he was pulled from the water during the swimming portion
of a Florida triathlon.
The News Herald reports that Patrick Kane, 38, of Patrick Kane of Roswell, GA
died at a hospital shortly after he was pulled from the Gulf of
Mexico during the Gulf Coast Triathlon on Saturday.
The newspaper reports that Kane flipped over during the 1.2-mile
swimming leg of the competition and was then pulled from the water.
