The FBI and Prichard Police have announced a reward for information that helps find a missing baby.The announcement comes just hours after the search of the neighborhood where the baby's mother lives.
Investigators have canvassed out around the Gulf Village housing complex in Prichard.
Over two dozen uniformed officers were searching through the neighborhood where the 18-year old Tyese Lewis lived with her newborn baby.
"I want them to find the baby, but i don't want them to find it this way."
Lewis reported her baby missing Tuesday after she claims she gave the infant to two women who she says posed as representatives of a bogus adoption agency.
But, now it appears police are turning their attention to her.
Katrina Anderson, a neighbor said she was aked if she had seen Lewis or the baby recently.
Police went house to house talking to neighbors sitting outside.
Neighbors News 5 talked to say police did not ask questions about the two mysterious women or the adoption agency. They were only asking about the family.
Investigators have not saidy if they're just looking for answers or if they're actually looking for the baby. The crime scene tape, however, surrounding an entire block in the housing complex.
