Investigators with the Baldwin County Violent Crimes Task Force executed a search warrant at a Spanish Fort mobile home early Friday, looking for evidence in the robbery and assault investigation of well-known businessman Bobby Wilson."We've named Leslie Eric Buzbee as a person of interest in the Wilson case," says Baldwin County Sheriff Hoss Mack. "We're looking inside his mobile home and several outbuildings on his property."
Two hours after the search warrant was executed, deputies arrested Buzbee on an unrelated drug charge. Buzbee has not been charged in the Wilson case.
"Investigators found a crack pipe and possible drug residue inside his mobile home," says Major Anthony Lowery with the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office. "He's been charged and taken to the Baldwin County Corrections Center."
"I don't think he could've done it," says James Ray. Ray is Buzbee's cousin. "Right now, he doesn't have legal counsel and we need to get him some help, but he couldn't have done something like this."
Bobby Wilson was brutally attacked and robbed last month while opening up his gas station in Spanish Fort. Wilson is still hospitalized and unconscious.
