The family of the man who was shot and killed early Thursday morning in West Mobile sent News 5 a picture of the victim. Police have also released new information about his murder.

Just before 1:00 a.m., police responded to a shooting in the 600 block of Dartmoor Lane, which is near the intersection of Cottage Hill & University Boulevard. 53-year-old Albert Jenkins had been shot multiple times in the torso. Jenkins was transported to USA Medical Center where he later died.

Investigators are still trying to determine a motive for the murder and who pulled the trigger.
