June 2005: The European Aeronautic Defense and Space company better known as EADS announced they want Mobile as the headquarters of their north American operations. The deal would create thousands of jobs and change the face of the Gulf Coast. It would make Mobile a worldwide player in the aircraft industry. Thousands of people would have the chance to get high paying jobs. Mobile city, county and state leaders want to see this happen. The deal, however, looks like a house of cards. EADS and Northrop Grumman won't build unless they get the military contract. Mobile could be a big winner or lose a bright future. From Mobile across the Atlantic, News Five has economic coverage you can count on with Landing the KC-30.
