The former Alabama Governor was sentenced last week to seven years in prison on government corruption charges.
Attorney Susan James said her office was broken into sometime between 2:00 p.m Sunday and 8:00 a.m. Monday.
Siegelman's other attorney, Vince Kilborn of Mobile, says he doesn't belief a common thief committed the crime.
" We can't see anything of importance taken. For instance, computers, things like that a thief might normally want to take because he could sell it, were not taken," said Kilborn.
Siegelman is being held in a maximum security federal prison in Atlanta, Georgia.
His cell mate is former HealthSouth CEO Richard Ccrushy.
Scrushy was sentenced to nearly seven years in prison on government corruption charges.
Both men are appealing their convictions.
