AUBURN, Ala. (AP) - The man accused of killing an Auburn
University student in March has been indicted on three capital
murder charges.

Courtney Lockhart was also indicted on a charge of robbing a
business in his Smiths Station hometown.

The Auburn student, 18-year-old Lauren Burk, was killed on March
4. She was found lying in the roadway on Alabama Highway 147 and died of a gunshot wound at a local hospital.

The 23-year-old Lockhart was arrested three days later.
Authorities say he told police he abducted Burk from the Auburn
campus, then robbed her and forced her to remove her clothes before
shooting her.

Lockhart's attorneys say they are preparing an insanity defense.

he is a dork i would give his attorney credit for the plea the attorney is just going to use it to dip into our tax dollars more
its just a way to milk the system

I have to give it to this guy--he is mildly intelligent!! He is intelligent enough to realize our country’s justice system gives more rights and lenience to persons having a psychosis (insanity) than persons who are considered “normal”.

his victim was beautiful i feel so bad for her family it breaks my heart i hope he fries now and in the after life i really hope they strip him of all his clothing before they fry him let him get the full effect

Let me tell you something homey.  You can fry now or fry later, either way you will fry in hell one day. If the insanity plea works, which I don’t think it will, You will fry later.  If that were my daughter, ha, you would come up missing.  I believe in redneck “just-us”

insanity come on give me a break he snuffed out this young girls life they should fry him without his clothes just like he killed her he confessed so whats the need for a trial the student didnt get a trial to beg for her life so why should this animal
