UNDATED (AP) - The National Weather Service says it was at leasta dozen tornadoes that destroyed homes, downed trees and injured
several people yesterday across western and central Kansas.
The weather service says at least 10 touched down in central
Kansas, and there were seven or eight in the western part of the
state.
Officials say at least four people were hurt in one county,
including one person who was taken to a Wichita hospital with
serious injuries.
The weather service has sent out survey teams to determine the
size of the twisters.
Meanwhile, resident of Windsor, Colorado, are expected to return
to their homes today. A large tornado devastated the northern farm
town Thursday. Officials had earlier deemed parts of the town
unsafe.

I have great sympathy for these people and their plight, but I wonder if the residents out in these states are going to see a triple or four fold increase in their home owner’s insurance premiums or is the insurance industry just going to keep the gulf coast as their whipping boy.
