I don’t really have an answer for that one, but I would guess that most feel like it’s not their problem, that is until it’s in their backyard. All of these crimes that are being committed by mostly young black men are really not doing anything but feeding into stereotypes and for some reason they are satisfied with that…

You know we always agree on some points igotbanned83, I personally think that Affirmative Action should be wiped out, I unlike some people of my race do not believe that we are ENTITLED anything but what we work for. But I am originally from one of the worst neighborhoods in Mobile, I grew up in the projects, to me it is all about how you carry yourself and how you present yourself to the world. I as a black woman is ashamed of how my people act.

When segregation came into law, those organizations should have been abolished. If we let you in, you let us in. If we are meant to hold hands and be friends, then abolish these black only groups. I had a friend at UAB try to start a Euro (England) group and they wouldnt let her b/c it was considered racist. Its a pathetic joke. Not only that, but my brother and I both lost jobs due to Affirmative Action. Yet Mexican restaurants need not have diversity. There are many businesses that are black only and black owned, they need not diversity. 9 out of 10 neighborhoods that are predominately black are dangerous to go into. And they are proud of it and will be the first to say it. There is a serious colorline that exists between, not blacks and whites, but between the blacks like Chellie, and the blacks that are thugged out ghetto and use their pride for racist acts. If I were an upstanding black man, I would be ashamed at the stereotypes that my OWN RACE creates. I would be just ashamed.

And you can’t call them African Americans because if you go back far enough everyone comes from that area of the globe. So we can’t call anyone colored because we all are one color or the other, and we can’t call anyone black because I’ve never seen a black person, we can’t call anyone an African American because supposedly that’s where we all originated from, I guess we’ll just have to call everyone Americans. Sounds good to me!
