Florida, are looking for a hotel security guard accused of sexually
assaulting a spring breaker.
Police say the guard took the 18-year-old girl from Tuscaloosa
County into an empty room and assaulted her early Monday.
The two began to struggle and authorities say the guard pushed
the girl over a sixth floor balcony. She landed in a second-floor
stairwell and suffered serious but not life-threatening injuries.
Investigators questioned the guard but initially did not have
enough information to charge him so he was released. A background
check on the guard later turned up an outstanding arrest warrant
from Indiana on a burglary charge.
The police department has since been unable to find the guard.
It intends to charge him with attempted felony murder, sexual
battery and false imprisonment.
