If you've noticed some strange signs posted around Mobile, you're not the only one.
Many of the signs simply say, "Ron Paul."
After taking a closer look, we found that there's a website for Ron Paul and discovered he's Congressman from Texas running for the President of the United States!
News Five asked several people if they've ever heard of Ron Paul and many of them said, "No."
We did run into a Ron Paul supporter, Dick Coffee of Mobile, and asked why the Republican candidate was not as popular as his opponents.
"He is not in the top three. You basically hear about the top three in both the Democratic party and the Republican party. If he had a hundred million dollars he'd be a front runner. It really is that simple," said Dick Coffee of Mobile.
News Five contacted Ron Paul's campaign headquarters and asked when will voters in our area get a chance to meet the candidate.
We were told that Paul is tentatively scheduled to visit Alabama next month.

COLBERT FOR PRESIDENT!!!!!!

First off, George W Bush is not a Texan. Neither is Ron Paul. Paul is a Constitutional Republican, Texas Congressman, who is the only candidate running for office in ‘08 whether Republican or Democrat, who has a voting record in Congress that backs up their oath of office to Support and Defend the Constitution of the United States of America. The youth of America are rallying behind him, because the eyes of the young men and women have been opened to TRUTH! All polls held fairly over the internet from major news media outlets have shown him to be favored over ALL candidates. He beats out Hillary, who if you view her beliefs carefully based on WHAT SHE SAYS you will find that she believes the same things as George W Bush concerning destroying our country in the most fascist, communist, UN supporting way possible. I’m tired of stupid people judging books by their covers, do some REAL research, actually READ the Book!!! Ron Paul - Last Hope for True American Values!!! Show your support! Veterans for Ron Paul ‘08! Veterans Against the War!

When Ron Paul was elected to offfice, he swore to uphold the Constitution. He’s a man of his word, and is keeping his promise.
The Federal Reserve is killing our dollar, the war is killing our soldiers, police-state
methods are killing our civil liberties, and the income tax and an unmanageable failed foreign policy are killing our economy.
Support Ron Paul and his anti-war, anti-interventionism approach - in which free-trade takes the place of manipulative violence and endless war. Vote Ron Paul 2008

I suggest a review of a few independent sites.
Look at the speakers@google site on you tube. Hillary Clinton has about 60,000 views and Ron Paul has almost 300,000 views.

Ron Paul has won or place in the top three of straw polls across the country (see his web site for that data)

and the polls can be skewed to look like the alternative candidates have little or no support.

But one step beyond that. Ask yourself what really matters? Poll counts or principles?

Ron Paul has a more solid record than any other candidate out there FOR the Constitution (remember that document that gave these folks in D.C a job).

Give him a chance, give him a donation, give him a standing ovation for his unwavering support of Liberty.

Thanks for the article about Ron Paul, the most honest politician (statesman, actually) running for President.

The Ron Paul campaign raised over $5 million during the 3 months ending Sept 30, more than double the amount he raised in the prior quarter.  The other Republican candidates’ contributions all went down, compared to the prior quarter.

Anyone who says Ron Paul is not a realistic contender for the nomination does not have their finger on the pulse of the country.  Because he is the only Republican candidate that offers real change, he is the only Republican that will be able to beat Hillary Clinton (or whomever the Democrats nominate).

Kesshia,
Thanks for the story.
The signs worked and we got a great story. You have made our day!!!

We appreciate the publicity even if sometimes we do not express it.
Ron Paul is a 10 term Congressman from Texas.

Interest in him is growing quickly. And he more than doubles his on hand cash, all from thousands of individuals a few dollars at a time, every three months when the federal contribution report is due. Sort of like Obama, but we still have only one tenth the money his. However, he appears to be plateauing and Ron Paul keeps growing in popularity.
Please check out his campaign web site (at ht tp://w ww.ronpaul2008.com/) if you want to know more. It is all laid out there plus dozens of his links to supporters and you tubes, and meet ups, and blogs across the country.  He is the most consistent candidate over the last 30 years and if he says it, then he will do it. This is very much UNlike any other candidate now running with maybe the exception of Gravel and Kucinich on the Democratic side.  And Not at all like Clinton and Obama who keep waffling and changing their mind on getting out of Iraq.

Thanks again for a nice story. Please do more!!
