The search is over for a 12-year old boy who went missing last (Saturday) night while swimming in the waters off Dauphin Island.Search crews found the body of Eric Stegall near where he disappeared in the rough surf near the Dauphin island pier.
Authorities say the boy, his mother, father and sister had stopped in Dauphin Island during a day trip away from their home near New Orleans.
A witness, Wiley Morgan, says he saw Eric get pulled out by what appeared to be a rip current.
The rough surf also claimed a life in Orange Beach Saturday.
George Burnett of Orange Beach was pulled from the water around 4:00 o'clock in the afternoon and rushed to South Baldwin Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.
Friday, 56-year-old Michael Evans of Mississippi, was pulled from the surf in Orange Beach. Efforts to revive him were unsuccessful.
Evans' wife told authorities he had a heart problem, so it's not clear yet if he too, drowned.
