ASHVILLE, Ala. (AP) - The Navy is scheduled today to release thenames of two aviators who died Friday when their plane crashed
during a military training flight in St. Clair County.
A spokeswoman for Naval Air Station Whiting Field in Milton,
Florida, said the military training plane crashed near Ashville
around 3:45 p.m.
The two-seat T-34C Turbomentor crashed into the side of Chandler
Mountain in northern St. Clair County. The aircraft was assigned to
a training squadron out of Whiting Field.
The cause of the crash is unknown and is under investigation.
