Junior Dragsters tearing up the track at Mobile Dragway Life In The Fast Lane

It's not all about baseball, football and basketball for area youngsters this summer. Some area 8 to 17 year olds are hoping to become the next John Force in the near future by competing in the NHRA O'Reilly Auto Parts Junior Drag Racing League .
Races were run this weekend at Mobile Dragway in Irvington.
The children compete in half-scale versions of top fuel dragsters that can reach speeds of up to 85 miles an hour.
News 5 Photojournalist Mic Ward visited with Dad James Helton, his son Jamie and fellow racer Cody Wilkins to get their take on the sport.
