Angela Leavitt will remain behind bars until her trial. A Santa Rosa County judge denied bond for the 28-year old mother, who was arrested this week on a felony charge of unlawful sexual activity with a minor. Leavitt is accused of have a sexual relationship with a 16-year old boy who worked with her at a local Whataburger restuarant. "Our investigators did a great job on the case," says Marc Ward with the Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office. "They do this kind of stuff for a living, they're professionals, and they did a great job and you see the results."
Leavitt was on the run for nearly a week before her arrest. Detectives believe she took her children to Texas and planned on reuniting with her 16-year old boyfriend. Leavitt's children are back in Florida and are at home with their father.
Leavitt's husband, Greg, thanked law enforcement, the public and the media for locating his children and getting them safely returned to Milton.
Leavitt was a manager at the Pace Whataburger. The Sheriff's Office says Leavitt and her boyfriend both quit June 3rd, the day they disappeared.
