A Chickasaw family fighting for justice for a little girl they say was raped by her stepfather has created a website in her memory.
Rebecca McEvoy, 11, was killed in a car crash last January.
Before she died, Rebecca told her family, investigators and counselors that former Chickasaw police officer Bob Ingle sexually abused her for more than a year.
According to prosecutors, a medical exam confirmed Rebecca had been raped, but Ingle's attorney is hoping a 2004 Supreme Court ruling will keep the case from ever going to trial.
On May 20th, a Mobile County judge is expected to decide whether a defendant can stand trial without having an opportunity to confront his accuser.
Rebecca's family hopes the website will help spread the word about her case.
Ingle, who was arrested in December 2006, is charged with rape, sodomy and sexual abuse.

This defense attorney will not silence anyone. Everyone has rights! He also has a daughter, how can he possibly defend the scum that raped Rebecca. This is wrong, but sadly Mr. Harbin must not know right from wrong!

hi was looking 4 the link 2 the story ya’ll done of rebecca mcevoys candlelight vigil that was held on saturday nite may 17,2008!!thye other nite!ya’ll came out & done a story that aired at 10pm & due 2 the event & cleAN UP MANY OF TEH FAMILY MEMBERS DIDNT GET 2 SEE IT!!COULD U PLEASE POST LINK 2 BECCA’S VIGIL??

Its rhonda wheelus Beccas cousin!!Thank you jessica 4 doing this story!!You have been great & we appreciate all your help!!Becca deserves justice & we the family r doing everything possible 2 c 2 it that she gets it!!!If we have 2 fight all the way 2 the supreme court we will!!JUSTICE 4 BECCA!!!BOB INGLE knows he did this & so does GOD almighty!!How bob ingle lays his head down & sleeps at night is beyond me!!1st 2 rape & sodomize a 9 yr old child repeatedly 4 over a yr doing 2 her the horrible things he done!!then on top of that 2 try & use her death 2 revictimize even her memory!!I dont think so!!Bob Ingle has benefitted enough from Becca he took her innocense!!Now he wants 2 try & take her dignity & last wishes!!NOT!!!!Me & my sister are gonna fight this thing tooth & nail 2 get justice 4 becca!!We are currently doing everything 2 ensure Becca gets the justice she so rightfully deserves!!All I got 2 say is bob ingle has messed with the wrong family!!U cant scare us away r buy us out

Who is Ingle’s attorney? I want to know because I never want to hire him if a need arises. Because Rebecca is gone doesn’t mean in any way, form or fashion that Bob Ingle should not pay for his crimes. I hope he never sleeps at night.
