A fire that damaged a home on General Lee Avenue in the Theodore area is believed to have started in a van outside. Mobile Fire Department got the call around 2:30am Friday morning and arrived to find the vehicle, carport and house on fire. The fire spread to the attic and went through the roof. Investigators say the fire began under the hood of the vehicle, near the battery and was possibly caused by faulty wiring. About $165,000 in damage was estimated. No one was injured in the blaze.
