When Ocean Springs Police spotted a car with a broken windshield, they never thought it would lead them to a meth lab.Police pulled the car over Tuesday morning. The driver told them someone was making meth in a room at the nearby Sundown Motel.
Officers went to the room and noticed a strong odor. They obtained a search warrant. Inside, police found a working meth lab.
Police arrested Richard Ricks II of Huntsville and Jacqueline Nixon of Gulfport. Both are charged with manufacturing of a controlled substance within 1500 ft. of a school, and possession with intent to distribute. If convicted, Ricks and Nixon face up to 60 years in prison and $2 million in fines.
Ricks and Nixon are also wanted for questioning in a recent meth lab explosion in Biloxi.
