MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) – Mobile and Baldwin County Public Schools will be open on Friday, December 8.
The Mobile County Public School System made its announcement Thursday afternoon in a Facebook post.
Baldwin County Public Schools Superintendent Eddie Tyler sent an email explaining their decision to remain open.
Good afternoon. We are aware of the approaching winter weather and we have been in touch with the Emergency Management Agency and others. At this point, it appears the severe cold weather will stay north of us. At this point, there is no plan to close schools tomorrow. As is always the case, you should stay weather alert and have a plan if schools do have to be closed because of weather. We will stay on top of this and keep you apprised. Have a good afternoon.
