SEMMES, Ala. (WKRG) Update: Mobile County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested Otis Lamar Wilson, 29, for allegedly shooting into a home in North Mobile County. One person was injured in the shooting.
Wilson was booked at 1 a.m. Friday on charges of discharging a gun in an occupied building, assault and trespassing.
The Mobile County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for help to locate a man wanted for shooting into a home in Semmes where one person was injured.
29-year-old Otis Lamar Wilson has active warrants for his arrest on charges of assault and discharging a firearm into an occupied residence.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, the incident occurred Wednesday night at home on Summit Drive. Witnesses told deputies that Wilson was loud and angry outside of a home after he was locked out and the people inside the home wouldn’t let him back in. Deputies say Wilson pulled out a handgun and began firing rounds into the home.
James Ingram was struck in the leg by one of the bullets and was taken to the hospital. He is being treated for his injuries.
According to jail records, Wednesday, December 6, is Wilson’s birthday. The shooting incident occurred around 8 p.m. on Wilson’s birthday.
