MOBILE, AL (WKRG) — When you walk outside your home on Friday morning, you might see something pretty unusual for the Gulf Coast.
According to News 5’s First Alert Storm Team, a light flurry of snow could be part of a sleet and freezing rain mix expected to reach the Gulf Coast on Friday morning. Meteorologist John Nodar says no accumulation is expected.
However, you might see a few snowflakes fall from the sky.
Snow is relatively rare for the Gulf Coast, where any snow accumulation is considered to be extremely uncommon.
