Fairhope Middle School Adds 400 Toys for a Magical Christmas

FAIRHOPE, Ala. (WKRG) — A stage full of every little kid’s dream come true on Christmas.

“This is awesome,” says Student Government President Jackson McKenzie. “We brought in more toys than we did last year. So glad that the whole middle school was able to bring in toys.”

There are more than 400 toys, dolls, bikes, all collected by the 7th and 8th graders at Fairhope Middle School.

“It feels so good to just help people,” says SGA Vice-President Laney Parks. “Their joy helps give us joy.”

Collecting the toys was one thing. Getting them packed up and loaded for the trip to the toy vault in Mobile was something totally different.

The students at Fairhope Middle School did such a fantastic job of collecting toys, we couldn’t fit all of the toys into the van to take them back to Mobile, so I’m thinking maybe a Baldwin County toy vault.

Santa’s helpers in Mobile may have something to say about that as they add more than 400 toys to the collection that will surely make Christmas magical for so many.
