UPDATE: One Inmate Recaptured After Escaping Alabama Prison, One Still at Large

UPDATE (12/05) — According to the Alabama Department of Corrections, one of two inmates who escaped from the St. Clair Correctional Facility in Springville on Monday was been recaptured.

According to officials, Ronald Odell King, 27, was taken into custody at approximately 4 p.m. on Tuesday after a tip led ADOC agents to a Birmingham address where the inmate surrendered without incident.

ADOC, along with state law enforcement and the U.S. Marshal Service, is continuing the search for Antwone Wilson who escaped with King.

The public should contact local law enforcement, or call 1-800-831-8825, with information that will lead to Wilson’s arrest.


SPRINGVILLE, Ala. (WKRG) — According to the Alabama Department of Corrections two inmates have escaped.

27-year old Antwone Wilson and 27-year old Ronald Odell King escaped from St. Clair Correctional Facility around 5:15 a.m. on Monday December 4th.

Wilson is described as a 5 foot black male, about 145 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He is believed to be wearing state white pants and a white tee shirt.

King is described as a 6′ 1″ black male, about 160 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

Wilson is charged with first-degree robbery in 2013. King was charged with first-degree burglary is 2016.
