DEFUNIAK SPRINGS, Fla. (WKRG) — Two years after the disappearance of Jacob Lyon, a new search got underway Wednesday in Walton County, Florida.
Lyon’s mother, father and other family members joined law enforcement as they searched a wooded area near County Highway 192 and U.S. 331.
“I told him I loved him three times,” said James Lyon, remembering the last time he saw his son in 2015, according to a tweet from the Walton County Sheriff’s Office.
The sheriff’s office said a new tip brought them to the area on Wednesday. The Niceville Police Department also assisted with the search.
Lyon was 19-years-old when he disappeared from Niceville in October 2015.
