MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) – A former deputy with the Mobile County Sheriff’s Office was arrested Tuesday afternoon on theft and drug charges, according to the Mobile County District Attorney.
26-year-old Seth Stevens was booked into the Mobile Metro Jail on charges of Possession of Controlled Substance, Possession of Marijuana, five counts of Tampering with Evidence, Theft of Property, Drug Paraphernalia, and Illegal Possession of Prescription Drugs.
According to a report from Lagniappe in May, Stevens was terminated from the sheriff’s office for administrative violations. Stevens, who worked for MCSO since 2014, was terminated after an internal investigation, but the nature of the investigation was never revealed. The alleged crimes happened while Stevens was still employed by the sheriff’s office.
Stevens has been released from jail and will have a court date in the upcoming days.
