4 Dogs Attack and Kill Alabama Woman, Injure Another

GUNTERSVILLE, Ala (WZDX) One person was killed and another seriously injured in a Wednesday morning dog attack in the Guntersville area.

Guntersville Police, Guntersville Fire, Marshall County Animal Control, and Marshall County Sheriff’s deputies were sent to a call on Jason Rd. off Alabama Hwy 79S in Guntersville.

The call was about dogs attacking two women.

Investigators have determined that four dogs mauled two women; how it began is under invetigation.

Tracey Patterson Cornelius, 46, of Guntersville was killed. Another woman was seriously injured and is being treated. She has not been identified.

Marshall County Animal Control was able to capture all but one of the dogs involved in the attack. The remaining dog is a white pit mix. The Animal Control Officer also captured other dogs loose in that area.
