Gulf Shores Police Search for Suspect in Weekend Car Break-Ins

GULF SHORES, Ala. (WKRG)– Early Sunday morning, security camera’s capture a visitor that police say was up to no good. “I found out somebody had been going, looking through the vehicles and stuff,” says Ed Walters. He’s new to the area and was surprised his neighborhood on Twin Pines Circle was targeted.

At least five vehicles hit during a crime that is easily preventable according to Kene Courtois. “I just make sure everything is locked up. I double check my doors at night, double check my car to make it harder for someone to get in.”

Neighbors who have seen the security camera footage believe the suspect lives in the neighborhood or is familiar with the area. “They always get you when you’re most vulnerable,” says Courtois, “in the middle of the night when most people are asleep, it’s unexpected, that’s when criminals come out to do their job.”

Anyone who can help identify the man in the video is asked to call Gulf Shores Police.
