MOBILE, Ala. (WKRG) — Mayor Sandy Stimpson took to social media on Friday to give people in Mobile a friendly reminder about Small Business Saturday.

The day after Black Friday has become a shopping holiday in its own right over the past few years. As the name implies, it’s a chance for local brick and mortar stores to attract shoppers in the door, instead of having them buy their products online or at big retailers.

In Mobile, shoppers can drop by the Downtown Mobile Alliance at 261 Dauphin Street on Saturday for a cup of cocoa and a cookie.

Shoppers can also pick up a Shop Small Passport, which designated stores downtown will then stamp when you make purchases. Bring the passport back for a chance to win a $100 Downtown Mobile Gift Card.
