MOBILE, AL (WKRG) – Emergency crews responded to the scene of a crash involving three vehicles on the Cochran Causeway north of the Bankhead Tunnel.
News 5’s Chad Petri was at the scene and reports there three vehicles were involved in the crash including a fuel tanker and two passenger vehicles.
One man was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
A survivor of the crash talked about what happened, “We was amazed, stunned in the spirit of the moment I tried to do what I could it didn’t stop anything, the car was just out of control,” said Lashandra English-Watkin.
Hazmat crews were called to the scene to assist with a fuel spill on the roadway.
An Alabama Department of Transportation map showed traffic backed up in both directions on the Cochran Causeway.
