8:25 a.m.- We’re still seeing delays on the bay-way westbound trying to get into the George Wallace tunnel. There was earlier issue inside of the tunnel that has since been cleared but delays continue trying to get to Mobile from the Eastern Shore. Might want to use the causeway. Mobile is accident-free according to Mobile Police and Highway Patrol now closing the right-hand Lane of I-65 Southbound near the 51 mile marker in Escambia County they’re pulling a tractor trailer out of the woods. The traffic light is out at hwy 98 at the Foley Beach Express. No new accidents in Pensacola according to Pensacola Police or Florida Highway Patrol.
7:55 a.m.- Mobile Fire and Rescue reporting a three-vehicle accident westbound I-10 inside of the George Wallace tunnel. The right hand lane is blocked right now and this is affecting traffic on the Bayway trying to get to Mobile so expect a delay. Later on today the Water Street exit ramp into the I-10 eastbound George Wallace tunnel is going to be closed permanently. Traffic is going to be rerouted from the downtown area to Canal Street to Claiborne Street and on to Texas Street to merge onto I-10 there. Mobile police reporting no accidents but in Pensacola at Scenic Highway Bayview way has an accident involving two vehicles and is blocking the traffic. Pensacola Police on the scene.
7:25 a.m.- No complaints right now crossing the Bay Way and Causeway both directions slowing along nicely with medium to heavy traffic volume. No problems through either of the tunnels as traffic is starting to build there I-10 eastbound between Rangeline Road and I-65 but nothing out of the ordinary . Still expect delays I-65 Southbound at the 51 mile marker and Escambia County. A tractor-trailer went off into the woods emergency vehicles are there. Eventually they’re going to close the right-hand Lane as they try and get that taken care of but right now everything still seems to be open. No trouble spots in the Pensacola area right now with traffic volume picking up I-10 eastbound towards i-110
6:55 a.m.- Traffic’s moving along pretty well here on this 1st day of June 2017 on the Bayway and Causeway. Both directions flowing along nicely without any problems. Through both tunnels we’re moving along well no issues right now according to Mobile Police and Highway Patrol in Mobile. However Highway Patrol is on the scene of an accident I-65 Southbound at the 51 mile marker. That’s in Escambia County where a tractor-trailer went off into the woods. Looks like one lane is open at this time so expect a little delay there. No major accidents right now in the Pensacola area according to Pensacola Police
6:35 a.m. Not a bad-looking start for your Thursday we’re moving along well both directions of the Bayway and Causeway right now. No problems right now through either of tunnels although traffic volume has picked up. In Mobile, no accidents to report according to Mobile Police. Alabama Highway Patrol headed the scene of an accident I-65 Southbound at the 51 mile marker in Escambia County. A tractor-trailer went off into the woods. Now the roadway is open but expect a lane closure soon as Alabama Highway Patrol gets to the scene. In Milton we’ve got a report of a structure fire there Alabama Street at Chapin Street. This is just a little east of Stuart Street, emergency vehicles are on the scene but no accidents in Pensacola.
6:06 a.m.- We’re accident and delay free right now on the Bayway and Causeway. Moving along well through both tunnels and Mobile Police and Highway Patrol reporting no accidents in Mobile. Florida Highway Patrol headed the scene of an accident County Road 97a at Walters Ferry Road at in the McDavid Community (not too far from the Alabama Florida state line). That accident does involve injuries. No problems though according to Pensacola Police.
5:55 a.m. Looking good to start off your Thursday morning no problems on the bay way or Causeway right now we’re looking good through either tunnels. Speaking of tunnels later on today the Water Street exit ramp onto the I-10 eastbound George Wallace tunnel is going to be closed permanently traffic being rerouted to Canal Street to Clayburn Street to Texas Street and merge onto I-10 from there. Alabama Department of Transportation did this to improve the traffic flow going into the George Wallace tunnel. As far as accidents go Highway 59 near the Stapleton Fire Department in Baldwin County an earlier accident with the tow truck headed to the scene and no problems in Pensacola.
5:35 a.m.- If your schedule takes you out on the roadways here on this early Thursday we’re moving along well to start off June. Problem and accident free right now crossing the Bayway and Causeway. In Mobile, Mobile police reporting no accidents. It’s looking good I-10 to I-65 and in the downtown area. Highway Patrol headed to scene of accident Highway 59 near right in front of the Stapleton fire department involving one vehicle and no problems right now in the Pensacola area according to Florida Highway Patrol.
