MOBILE, AL (WKRG) —
8:25 a.m. Updating your Monday morning commute, we are still looking good there on the bayway and Causeway and that’s been the theme of the morning. Both directions moving along smoothly without any problems or delays. Mobile Police and emergency vehicles still there at Springhill Avenue at the Westbound I-65 Service road headed North from an earlier accident involving injuries. I-65 still looks good. Fairhope police have cleared there earlier accident there at Fairhope Avenue and Highway 98. In Pensacola, Florida Highway Patrol still on the scene of an earlier accident involving injuries at East Burgess Road at Woodley Drive. The road continues to be blocked
7:55 a.m. Updating your Monday morning commute we’re still looking good on the Bayway and Causeway and both tunnels moving along smoothly. In Mobile an accident involving injuries on Springhill Avenue at the westbound I-65 Service road headed north. Avoid that area. No other problems in Mobile. In Fairhope though we do have an accident Fairhope Avenue and Highway 98. Looks like there was a BRATS bus involved there as well so avoid that intersection. In Pensacola the roadway is completely blocked with a serious accident East Burgess Road at Woodley Drive. Also Pensacola Boulevard just north of I-10 expect delays with an accident there as well.
7:26 a.m. We continue to see a smooth commute on the Bayway and Causeway so far this morning. No problems there either of the tunnels as well. In Mobile, Highway Patrol telling us that wreckers are in route to that earlier accident Coleman Dairy Road at Lott Road. Beyond that a new accident Springhill Avenue at the West I 65 Service Road. Emergency vehicles are headed the scene as this one does involve injuries. In the Pensacola area we’ve got an accident with roadblock there at Mobile Highway at North Blue Angel Parkway. Northbound lanes of Mobile Highway are blocked with this accident but no other problems right now in Pensacola.
6:55 a.m. If your Monday morning commute takes you out on the roadways this morning and taking the Bayway or Causeway over the next few minutes, both directions flowing along nicely. No issues through either of the tunnels as well. In Mobile, Alabama Highway Patrol still on the scene of that accident involving injuries at Coleman Dairy Road at Lott Road. Continue to avoid that intersection. Traffic volume is pretty busy there Airport Boulevard near Cody. We’re looking good right now through Baldwin County. In Pensacola, Florida Highway Patrol in the scene of an accident with possible roadblock at West Herman Street at North L Street. Pensacola police reporting no problems.
6:27 a.m. Our Monday morning commute continues to zip along nicely crossing both directions of the Bayway and Causeway without any problems. No issues on the Eastern Shore and through both the Bankhead in George Wallace tunnel, we’re running along smoothly. Highway Patrol on the scene of an accident with injuries and Coleman Dairy Road at Lott Road. Avoid that intersection as emergency vehicles are now on the scene. We’re looking good coming down I-65, no problems according to Mobile Police right now in the downtown area and no new problems in Pensacola. Traffic is running smoothly there as well.
6:07 a.m. If you’re headed out the door of the next few minutes to begin your Monday morning commute, we look good on the Bayway and Causeway right now without any reason for an alternate route. Both directions following along nicely. No issues through either tunnel as well. Earlier we had an issue with a tire in the roadway there eastbound on I-10 between I-65 and DIP. It looks like they’ve got that taken care of with emergency vehicles still on the right hand side of the road. It’s really not affecting traffic so much. Mobile Police and Alabama Highway Patrol reporting no accident and over towards the Pensacola area Pensacola police officer reporting no incidents at this time.
5:55 a.m. Updating your Monday morning commute, if you need to get out on the roadways over the next few minutes and take the Bayway or Causeway, both directions continue to roll along smoothly as we’re starting to see traffic volume pick up a little bit but both directions moving along nicely right now through both tunnels. We got a report of a runaway tire in the roadway on I-10 eastbound between I-65 and DIP. Expect a little delay there as officers are on the scene so slow your speed as you come closer towards I-65 there on eastbound I-10. But no accidents right now in the Mobile area and no major problems in Pensacola as well.
5:35 a.m. If you’re headed out on the roadways over the next few minutes, things are rolling along smoothly to begin your Monday morning. We’re accident and delay free right now crossing both directions of the Bayway and Causeway. Looking good through both tunnels as well. In Mobile, both Mobile Police and Alabama Highway Patrol reporting no accidents. We’re looking good coming down I-65. In the Pensacola area we’ve had a fender bender occur on Langley Avenue just west of Tippin Avenue, that’s North of the airport. Expect a little delay there as Florida Highway Patrol is on the scene.
5:05 a.m. Good morning. It’s a good-looking start to your morning and your week out here on the roadways. We begin problem-free right now crossing both directions of the Bayway and Causeway. Looking get through both tunnels as well. No problems along the Eastern Shore or through Baldwin County. Alabama Highway Patrol reporting no accidents in Mobile, looking good coming down I-65. And in the Pensacola area we are beginning the morning problem-free as well.
