MOBILE, AL (WKRG) —

8:25 A.M.  There was a truck fire affecting traffic on Dolphin Street just west of I-65 avoid that area why they try and get that taken care of. We had two earlier fender-benders coming out of the George Wallace tunnel those have been moved off to the side of the road there just past the Water Street split and right now we’re actually moving along pretty well on the bayway and Causeway. No problems right now with the I-65 I-10 split and no problems right now to the Downtown Mobile area as well

7:52 a.m.  It’s been a smooth Tuesday morning commute on the Bayway and Causeway but we have had an accident just outside of the George Wallace tunnel on I-10 Westbound just passed the Water Street split.  The accident is off to the left hand side of the road but it is affecting traffic trying to get into the George Wallace tunnel from the Bayway and we’re starting to see a little delay there. Some  earlier trouble spots in Mobile being work Dauphin Street at Springdale Boulevard, Snow at Airport Boulevard a Wrecker is headed to the scene there. A new fender bender Ramsey Road at Highway 188

7:20 a.m.  It’s been a good-looking start for your Tuesday morning commute on the Bayway and Causeway with no delays or accidents. Both Directions still looking good. Through both tunnels still running smoothly as well.  We’ve had some trouble spots pop up though in the Mobile area including Dauphin Street at Springdale also Snow Road South at Airport Boulevard.  It looks like they just got that moved into a Circle K parking lot.  Beyond that an accident involving a vehicle fire being reported now and Highway 90 at Ramsey Road. We’re looking good coming down I-65 and no problems with the I-10 interchange.

6:50 a.m.  If you’re about to head out the door in the next few minutes to begin your Tuesday morning commute, the Bayway and Causeway both look good. No problems either direction. Looking good through both tunnels as well, of course be careful coming out of the eastbound George Wallace tunnel with the sunrise glare there.  No problems though in Mobile Mobile Police and Alabama Highway Patrol reporting no accidents but we have seen an increase in traffic volume over the last few minutes.

6:25 a.m.  Traffic volume starting to pick up a little bit crossing the Bayway and Causeway,  especially in the westbound Lanes but so far no accidents or delays either direction.  Looking good right now through both tunnels as well.  In the Mobile area we are accident-free according to both Mobile Police and Alabama Highway Patrol.  Traffic volume starting to pick up though coming down I-65 from North Mobile and I-10 eastbound there through West Mobile starting to pick up headed towards I-65 as well.

5:55 a.m.  If you need to begin your early Tuesday morning commute over the next few minutes and take the Bayway or Causeway, well good news, both of them are moving along nicely. No problems through the Bankhead or George Wallace tunnel as well.  We’re looking good throughout Baldwin County.  In Mobile coming down I-65 shouldn’t be too bad and Mobile Police and Alabama Highway Patrol both telling us and no accidents they’re working here on this early Tuesday.

5:30 a.m. Good morning!  Our first check of traffic here on this early Tuesday reveals things are looking good. We’re off to a good start right now on the Bayway and Causeway both directions flowing along freely with no impediments and looking good there through both tunnels as well.  In the Mobile area, Mobile Police and Alabama Highway Patrol both reporting no accidents their on.  Looking good coming down I-65, throughout West Mobile and downtown everything is off to a good start here on this Tuesday.
