8:25- It’s been a smooth commute on the Bayway and Causeway this morning and through the tunnels. A number of accidents have occurred in the Mobile area including the South Water Street on ramp to Eastbound I-10. It’s blocking traffic there so you’re not going to be able to get into the tunnel there from Water Street. Other fender benders including southbound I-65 between government and I 10, South University of the Airport Boulevard (that one blocking traffic). Airport at Alverson Road South, Emogene at South Sage Avenue, North University and Mickey Drive, Highway 90 and Hamilton Boulevard and one involving injuries at airport at Country Lane
7:55- More people are getting up and out here on the roadways, and that’s being reflected there on the Westbound Lanes of the Bayway. So it looks like things (even with the heavier traffic volume) are still moving along nicely. We’ve also seen an increase in traffic volume there I-10 eastbound between Rangeline Road and I-65 with a little slow down there. Mobile police on the scene of some fender benders, Airport at Alverson Road, Highway 90 at Swedetown Road North also Emogene at South Sage Avenue. Highway Patrol is headed to the scene of an accident in the Lillian area on Highway 98 and County Road 91 with just a fender bender there.
7:25- We’re still looking good right now on this Thursday. Crossing the Bayway and Causeway has traffic volume is picking up but still no accidents are major delays. We have seen some showers in the area so don’t be surprised if you find some wet driving conditions. In Mobile, some fender benders have occurred including at the intersections of Airport at Air Terminal Drive (just outside of the airport), Girby Road at Vista Ridge and University at Moffett. Looking good coming down I-65 and take extra caution through those school zones.
6:54- More and more people are waking up and getting out on the roadways this morning so traffic volume has increased there crossing the Bay Way especially in the westbound Lanes. We’ve also seen some showers at some various portions of the area so wet driving conditions are a possibility, but we’re looking good through both tunnels right now. In Mobile, a new accident on the west side of Cottage Hill and Schillinger being worked on by Mobile Police. It’s just a fender bender and looking good coming down I-65 and accident free through downtown.
6:34- It’s been a good-looking start for your morning commute here on this Thursday. Some have seen some showers out here so wet road conditions are a possibility but overall moving along well. No accidents or delays right now crossing the Bayway or Causeway. In the Mobile area, Mobile Police clearing an earlier accident the East I 65 Service Road North near Moffett Road should be just a couple more minutes there. No problems though coming down I-65 and Mobile Police and Alabama Highway Patrol report no other accidents so far this morning.
