Every doll, every toy truck, every stuffed animal you donated helped this year’s WKRG Great Toy Drive become the biggest yet.
WKRG is happy to announce that with the help of our sponsors, 30,273 toys were donated this year for the Great Toy Drive!
On Monday, dozens of volunteers showed up to help pack our overflowing Toycenter, which you’ve seen in our newscasts since November.
“We are thrilled to announce we exceeded our 30,000 toy goal this year by 273. We are so grateful to our sponsors, our viewers and local businesses who all pitched in to help us hit our goal. Thanks to everyone for helping us and the Salvation Army make Christmas a little bit merrier for those in need. The giving hearts of our community never cease to amaze me. On behalf of all of us at WKRG, Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to each of you.
— Mark Bunting, WKRG General Manager
