Possible Drowning Near Alligator Alley in Daphne

UPDATE 7:34 PM:

Daphne Police confirm through twitter the truck found in D’olive Creek is the vehicle of the missing person.

UPDATE: The Daphne Search and Resuce Unit told our crew on the scene that after divers searched the water, no body was found inside or around the vehicle at this time.

Daphne police were notified of the missing person and used the possible victims phone to ping the location of Alligator Alley around 2pm this Sunday afternoon.

The search and Rescue Unit are working on retreiving the truck from the water.

It is not certain at this time if the truck belongs to the missing person. Family has been notifed.

We will continue to update this story as information becomes availbale.

ORIGINAL STORY: Daphne, Al- News 5 received information around 2:30 pm about a possible vehicle in water near the Hampton Inn in Daphne this afternoon.

Shortly after, our crews caught up with emergency crews first on the scene and they told us this may be a possible drowning.

Corporal Jason Vannoy with the Daphne Police Department confirms a search is on going for a missing person who may have driven off into the water near Alligator Alley.

The Daphne Police Department tweeted this statement out:

Vannoy tells news 5 that Lieutenant Beedy is headed to the scene now.
