The City of Mobile is hosting Winter Wonderland on Saturday, Dec. 17 in Cathedral and Bienville Squares. Six tons of snow will be dumped into Cathedral Square. The Salvation Army is providing coffee and hot chocolate for everyone to enjoy.
While the kids play, adults can pick up last minute Christmas gifts at the Christmas market. It will feature locally grown produce and baked goods.
Children can take photos with Santa and Frozen characters after playing in the snow. Face painting, inflatables, and holiday crafts will also be on site.
“We don’t often see snow in Mobile, but we wanted to give our citizens something special this year,” Mayor Stimpson said. “Young or old, nothing puts you in the holiday spirit like a White Christmas. And, of course, everybody loves a princess.”
