Another scam is making the rounds–and has scammers knocking on your front door!
Ramona Haff says two men knocked on her door wanting to repair her roof with roof sealant. They claimed it was leftover from a bigger job and wanted to offer her their services. They told her they would only accept cash and asked for $400. When she said that was too much, they lowered it to $200. Haff sent her daughter to the bank and the workers started working. It wasn’t until a few minutes later that Haff realized it was a scam.

She noticed what looked like white paint rolling down the side of her house.
She argued with the workers, who then said they had another job to check on and would be back to finish the job, but they never came back. Even though Haff didn’t pay them anything, she still has to pay to get her house repainted. She wants to warn others now to be on the lookout.
“I just don’t want anyone else to get ripped off. I got lucky and realized it and didn’t pay them the money, but somebody else might not and go ahead and pay them the money,” says Haff.
The men were Mexican looking and drove a truck with a trailer full of supplies. They also had a professional looking flyer.
