Mobile, AL (WKRG)
Governor Bentley’s office announced this morning he would not be attending the groundbreaking of the new Mobile County Emergency Operations Center. In an e-mail to the newsroom, the governor’s staff said the trip to Mobile was canceled “due to weather concerns.”
The groundbreaking is still on. The new EOC will happen on 7344 Ziegler Boulevard at 2PM Monday. County officials say the new center will have four times square footage as the old EOC to make room for new technologies.
