BON SECOUR, AL- Tiny houses have taken the national housing market by storm!
The idea behind tiny houses is simple: downsize and get rid of clutter to something much smaller and more affordable. This interesting trend has made it to South Baldwin County.
Bon Secour Tiny Home Village is under construction in Bon Secour. The one-bedroom, one bath, 504 square foot homes are small on space, but big on color, character and charm.
One of the four tiny homes cost about $93,000 or about $200 per square foot.
“You get a lot of money for the 200 per square foot,” says RE/MAX Gulf Shore real estate broker Charley Ogletree. “It is 200, but we sell houses at the beach for 300 per square foot.
These tiny homes will be move-in ready by Christmas.
“You should be able to live here for $750 or less and an apartment in this area is going to run 850 to 900 dollars,” says Ogletree. “It’s your own home, you’ll be able to live here and gain equity in it”
