Sales, sales and more sales: They’re just in time for the holiday shopping season, and ’tis the season for getting that seasonal job.
“You want an employee who is positive, upbeat and excited. Christmas time should be a fun time and not a stressful time,” says Cordova Mall Marketing and Business Development Director Angela Jacks.
To take away the stress of the busy shopping season, Cordova Mall and its retailers are looking for employees who can give shoppers an experience.
“We want them to come to Cordova Mall, and see it as a place that they can come shopping with ease, and we can find what they want, and that when we tell our retailers that you are finding and experience for our shoppers and not just a shopping time,” says Jacks.
With just 42 days until Christmas Day, extra employees will help your shopping go smoother.
“It helps with the flow of traffic; it helps [shoppers] pick out what they need what they want; [helps with] with purchasing, bagging and getting [shoppers] out the door; and [overall] makesd [shopping trips] a lot quicker,” says Jacks.
Hopefully stores taking on additional employees will make those lines shorter, so it’s a win for everyone when it comes to the holiday season.
“We’re open seven days a week, so if somebody who has a job during the day can get that part time job at night or on the week end, to get that extra cash, cause Christmas is extra stressful and when that credit card bill comes in January, you would like to have that extra cash to pay the bill,” says Jacks.
If you are looking to get hired, there are plenty of openings.
“My recommendation is to go down the list and apply to as many stores that you think you want to work for or be a good fit for, and hopefully you will get that call,” says Jacks.
