City officials held the first of four input meetings as they work to revamp zoning codes.
They’re looking to the public for opinions on changes they would like to see, and how the city can structure codes to change the aesthetics of the city.
“This is the first time we have ever done a complete overhaul of the zoning ordinance so in order for us to take that very first important step we want community feedback and input in the process,” said Shayla Beaco, Senior Director of Community Affairs for the city.
The workshops are the second phase The Map for Mobile, comprehensive city plan. Each meeting is tailored to specific sections of the city.
