Family In Loxley Survives House Fire


Loxley Volunteer Fire Chief Tony Lovell says a family of four escaped unharmed.  He said someone spotted sparks coming from a breaker box in the garage and the home caught fire quickly.  Lovell said the home was fully engulfed when they arrived.

Fire officials in Loxley are looking into a house fire that started Friday night.  A firefighter on the scene says it was called in at 11:15 Friday night.  The fire burned a home on County Road 55 near the intersection of Highway 59.

No one was hurt.  Crews from Loxley, Silverhill, Belforest and Robertsdale were among those who responded.  Crews were still on the scene when I passed by at 3:15 Saturday morning.
