The Reese’s Senior Bowl is just a few months away and Saturday’s charity run is one of its biggest fundraisers. More than four-thousand runners competed in the event.
The run had several races including a 5K, 10K, and wheelchair race. There was also a family fun festival which had free food, entertainment, and kids activities.
“It’s just a great way for us to get involved in the community,” said Lauren Fleming, a Senior Bowl Coordinator. “We try to do stuff all throughout the year, not just in January. This is our 29th year of having the race. We are actually making a donation to Camp Smile today. We’re making a five thousand dollar donation. It will happen during our awards ceremony. So we’re excited to be supporting that organization.”
The Senior Bowl is set for January 28th. Practice runs the entire week before, giving you more opportunities to see your favorite players.
