As the holiday season approaches, it’s time to once again lace up your ice skates and head to Riverside Ice in downtown Mobile. Mayor Sandy Stimpson announced Wednesday that the rink will open on November 19.
“Riverside Ice will be bigger and better than ever,” said Mayor Stimpson. “There is no better place to skate than on the waterfront of Mobile, Alabama with our beautiful skyline as a backdrop.”
The City of Mobile will provide ice skating lessons to all those wanting to learn how to glide on the ice this holiday season. Lessons will be held every Saturday for children and every Sunday for adults from November 14 through January 10. Private lessons are also available.
The rink will be open every day of the week from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Monday through Thrusday, and 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. It will be open on Sundays from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. Admission is $10 for adults and $8 for children 12 and under. Visit www.riversideice.com for more information.
