The annual event raises money for the American Cancer Society. Thousands of people got up early to for the big event.
“I’m a one-year breast cancer survivor!” yelled Angela Mahone surrounded by family and friends. “It’s awesome, it’s amazing and this is my whole little crew that supported me, my support system my church family and this is just amazing,” said Mahone. There’s hardly anyone here who doesn’t know someone affected by cancer.
“I’m here because I’ve had a friend that passed away from Breast Cancer a former coworker, and that’s why I’m here to support,” said Shannon Rocker of Mobile. The event raises money and awareness for breast cancer.
“I think it’s just a great time for everyone to come out and get together and just really for awareness just know to get your early mammograms, and celebrate time with family and all they’ve gone through,” said American Cancer Society Event Chair Heather Tomberlin.
