FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. (AP) – Authorities say a man killed his wife and two of his children before killing himself at their Florida Panhandle home.
The Northwest Florida Daily News reports that Fort Walton Beach police officers discovered the bodies Tuesday morning following a reported domestic disturbance.
A police news release says 43-year-old Catrina Butler died from multiple stab wounds, while 20-year-old Jeremy Butler and 14-year-old Katelyn Butler were shot to death. The release says William Butler died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
A neighbor told the newspaper that that a fifth family member, a boy, fled from the home to another residence, where that neighbor called 911.
Neighbors said domestic disputes were not uncommon for the family.
