Police Advisory Council Holds First Meeting

Wednesday was the inaugural meeting of the Police Citizens Community Relations Advisory Council.

The city council created the eight-member panel to enhance the relationship between the public and the police department.

However no action was taken at the first meeting, it was more of an orientation and members saying why they volunteered.

The advisory council will meet again in 2 weeks and they are requesting police chief James barber to address them as well as U.S. Attorney Kenyen Brown.
