LITTLE RIVER, AL- A log truck overturned on Highway 59 in the Little River community in North Baldwin County around 8am Tuesday morning, closing the highway for more than five hours.
To make matters worse, hundreds of nearby homes and businesses lost power for about five hours when the log truck slammed into a utility pole and took down power lines.
Baldwin EMC sent a 12-man line crew to the crash site to make repairs and get power back to its members. As many at 695 meters were down because of the crash.
Highway 59 re-opened around 2pm Tuesday. Fortunately, the driver of the truck wasn’t hurt.
