The Pensacola Interstate Fair opens in just two days. The booths and the rides are already taking their places at the Fairgrounds. When we stopped by on Monday afternoon, a couple of the rides had been moved into place, but not set up, yet. Food vendors are getting ready, working to make sure their electrical is working properly.
One of the most recognizable vendors, Pep’s Place, is just about ready to go. Pep’s is celebrating it’s 31st year at this location. Owner Sharon Reed takes pride in the product, as well as the day she decorates the stand.
“I love our fair and I love the people that come out,” said Reed. “And I just want it to be beautiful like the midway is and the fairgrounds, so I just try to add the extra special touch.”
Pep’s feeds the carnival workers three meals a day.
